(GREENSBURG, Ind.) – A U.S. Army semi hauling fuel became disconnected from it's trailer in Decatur County on Tuesday afternoon.
The incident happened around 4 p.m. at the intersection of State Road 46 and State Road 3.
Authorities say the Army tractor-trailer was part of a convoy that was traveling from Minnesota to Kentucky, and was turning onto State Road 3 toward Westport.
It was hauling 75,000 pounds of fuel, however no fuel spilled as a result. There were no injuries either.
The intersection was closed for approximately an hour as TDS Heavy Towing & Recovery assisted in getting the tanker placed back on the semi.
Agencies that responded to the incident included the Decatur County Sheriff’s Office, Greensburg Police, Indiana Department of Transportation and Decatur County Communications.
