Aurora Police expand services by launching drone program

Will help with criminal investigations and searches

(AURORA, Ind.) – The Aurora Police Department is expanding their resources by launching a drone program.
The drone will help aid in criminal investigations, surveillance, searches and rescues.

It was made possible by the City of Aurora’s Redevelopment Committee.
Lieutenant Clint Holmstrom, and Detective Vernon Mcbride attended the FAA flight training program and are now certified drone pilots.
“We are extremely grateful to the redevelopment committee as this project would not have been completed without their generosity,” said Aurora Police Sergeant Matt Hountz.
