(AURORA, Ind.) – Four local cemeteries are receiving donations thanks to the Lary D. Fogle Vietnam Veterans of America Chapter 71.
On Thursday, the Aurora-based Vietnam veterans group donated $1,000 each to River View Cemetery in Aurora, Greendale Cemetery, Forest Hill Cemetery in Moores Hill and Rising Sun Cemetery.
Each donation will go toward maintenance and upkeep of the properties. This serves as the most recent donation that Chapter 71 has made in the community.
Over the years, they have supported numerous organizations including the Hillforest Mansion, Rivertown Quilters, the Aurora Boy Scouts and more.
The chapter was also responsible for bringing the Huey Helicopter Memorial to Lesko Park a few years.
Chapter 71 was named after Lawrenceburg graduate Lary D. Fogle who was just 18-years-old when he made the ultimate sacrifice in Vietnam on December 20, 1965.
