(BATESVILLE, Ind.) – Batesville United Methodist Church delivered home-cooked meals to 200 people on Christmas Eve.
The church launched the initiative to bring warm meals to those who may not receive one during the holiday.
Residents in the Batesville and Oldenburg area were encouraged to sign up for the free meals. Some meals were delivered as far away as Osgood.
Pastor Chris Renick said it was made possible through a large number of volunteers who donated their time and talents on Wednesday.
The church will host a Winter Picnic on January 17 that includes a fried chicken meal. You can eat at the church, have carry-out or have it delivered.
Delivery orders must be placed by January 10 and you can schedule it by calling (812) 934-3137.
