Batesville church to host luncheon for historic schoolhouse

(BATESVILLE, Ind.) – A Batesville church is bringing back a luncheon that was cancelled due to the pandemic.
St. John’s United Church of Christ hosted the annual “Soup, Spud and Salad Luncheon” every year until 2020.
It serves as a fundraiser for the Historic Huntersville One-Room Schoolhouse that the church built in 1870.
The luncheon will return this weekend and all proceeds will go to the schoolhouse.
It will take place from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Sunday, October 25. The church is located at 330 North Huntersville Road.
It’s a freewill donation and there will be 20 different homemade soups to choose from, a lettuce salad bar with all the fixins', and a baked potato bar with all the goodies.
