Jury finds Moores Hill guilty of Domestic Battery on son

(LAWRENCEBURG, Ind.) – A jury has convicted a Moores Hill man of Domestic Battery following an incident with his adult son.
Prosecutors say John Jivoin sent a series of angry text messages to his son prior to confronting and physically assaulting him. Weapons were involved as well, police said.
Jivoin was initially charged with Intimidation and Domestic Battery. The jury found him not guilty of Intimidation but guilty of Domestic Battery following a two-day trial this week.
He remains released on bond with a sentencing date set for November 16. Jivoin faces a maximum term of one year in prison and must not have any contact with the victim.
