(BATESVILLE, Ind.) – Batesville first responders will now have a bird’s eye view during emergencies.
The Batesville Fire Department and Batesville Police Department have jointly launched a drone program.
“This new technology will help us locate victims faster, improve firefighter safety, and strengthen emergency response across our community,” stated the Batesville Fire Department.
It was made possible through a Ripley County Community Foundation grant as well as a fundraiser.
“This collaboration strengthens our ability to respond quickly and effectively to emergencies across our region,” officials added.
