Batesville grad named principal at New Palestine

(NEW PALESTINE, Ind.) – A Batesville graduate and former assistant principal has taken a new role with New Palestine Community Schools.
Justin Tucker has been named Principal at New Palestine Junior High beginning in July.
Tucker is a 2007 Batesville graduate and had served several years as an assistant principal for Batesville Schools.
He has spent the past year as a middle school principal in Rushville.
New Palestine Schools says Tucker brings a strong record of student-centered leadership and a passion for building positive school cultures.
Tucker has been recognized both statewide and nationally for his leadership as well.
The National Association of Secondary School Principals named him a finalist for 2025 Assistant Principal of the Year for Middle Level Schools.
In 2024, he was named Assistant Principal of the Year by the Indiana Association of School Principals
