Batesville man arrested on child porn charges

Was arrested at a youth football fundraiser Friday

(OLDENBURG, Ind.) – A local youth football fundraiser was interrupted due to a police investigation on Friday. 

Indiana State Troopers came to the event in Oldenburg in an effort to locate 44-year-old Matthew Rippetoe. 

Rippetoe was at the fundraiser and was arrested without incident. 

He has been charged with 48 felony counts related to possession of child pornography.  Troopers say the charges stem from Boone County, Kentucky. 

He is lodged in the Ripley County Jail where he is awaiting extradition to Kentucky.
