Batesville softball player leads all of Indiana in stolen bases

"She has freedom of going anytime she wants, I don’t have to give her a sign!"

(BATESVILLE, Ind.) – A Batesville softball player is leading all of Indiana in stolen bases this season. 

Caitlyn Fox has 28 steals which is more than any other player in the state. 

Her success starts at the plate as she is batting .615 after the first 13 games this season. 

The sophomore’s base running skills have been noticed by her coaches as they give her the freedom to run whenever she wants.

“Caitlyn electrifies the field with her infectious enthusiasm and deep passion for the game. Beyond her spirited play, she serves as a vital source of guidance for her teammates, offering insightful tips and skills that elevate their performance,” said BHS Softball Coach Gene Cooney. 

Her softball career is hopefully far from over as she hopes to play in college as well.
