(BATESVILLE, Ind.) – A Batesville student is continuing his annual tradition of supporting patients at Decatur County Memorial Hospital.
12-year-old Max Schory has created artwork and has used the proceeds to support the Hospital Foundation of Decatur County for the past six years.
For this year’s fundraiser, Max created a grid painting across 48 canvases featuring a beautiful beach landscape with text reading, “Trust the journey, even when the path is hidden beneath the waves.”
His initiative this year brought in $521 for the hospital foundation.
“Max’s creativity and generosity are truly inspiring. Each year, Max’s fundraiser supports the Foundation and allows us to further our support of DCMH,” said Mandy Lohrum, Director of the Hospital Foundation of Decatur County.
Schory has a strong interest in healthcare and hopes to grow up to be a surgeon.
