(MILAN, Ind.) – A benefit will be held to raise funds for the family of a toddler this weekend.
1-year-old Hudson is the son of Keith and Elizabeth Coombs. He was diagnosed with a complex congenital heart disease as well as a rare genetic disorder that can cause developmental delays.
“Hudson spent the majority of his first year in and out of the hospital having several surgeries including open heart surgery,” his family said.
The Dustin Rump Big Buck Contest is an annual event that raises funds for families in need.
They have organized a fundraiser called ‘Hunting For Hudson’ that will take place at the Milan American Legion starting at 3 p.m. on Saturday, September 6.
It will include raffles, live auctions, food, music, t-shirts and more. All proceeds will support the Coombs family.
“To help alleviate some of the financial burden of ongoing medical bills, travel to and from Cincinnati Children’s Hospital, meals, and associated expenses, proceeds from this year’s Big Buck Contest will be donated to the Coombs family,” organizers said.
