Boy Scout creates Bright community t-shirt fundraiser

Also designed keychains that are available for purchase

(BRIGHT, Ind.) - A Dearborn County Boy Scout has designed a t-shirt and keychain in an effort to show his hometown pride!

Liam Reade created the design that reads “Have A Bright Day” with a star over Bright, Indiana.  Click here to view the t-shirts.

Any purchase goes toward a fundraiser that Liam is conducting as he hopes to attend the Boy Scouts National Jamboree in West Virginia next year. 

Reade is one of 18 scouts from across southern Indiana to secure a spot on the Hoosier Trails Council's contingent to attend the 10-day camp.

He will likely be the only scout from Bright’s Troop 693 that will go the jamboree which welcomes nearly 40,000 Scouts from across the country once every four years. 

Liam is saving his own money to attend the camp but is also hoping the t-shirt and keychain fundraiser can help him secure the $2,500 he needs to attend. 

Reade has been part of the Scouts since Kindergarten and has helped the Bright community in various ways. 

During COVID, he distributed sanitizer throughout his neighborhood and to the Bright Fire Department. He’s also delivered packages of popcorn to area first responders and has helped the VFW during Lenten fish fries.
