Bridge on North Huntersville Road in Batesville to be closed until August

Scheduled to be closed beginning on March 31

(BATESVILLE, Ind.) – Construction is scheduled to begin on the bridge on North Huntersville Road over I-74 in Batesville.

The bridge is expected to be closed beginning on March 31 until late August. 

The bridge replacement project will be done by INDOT contractor Sunesis Construction Company.

During the closure, the official detour route will follow County Road 700 S. to S.R. 229 to S.R. 46. 

Periodic shoulder closures and rolling slowdowns will be used on I-74 while bridge work is in progress. INDOT will provide additional information as the work progresses.

This work is part of a $2.6 million contract awarded to Sunesis in September 2024.
