(LAWRENCEBURG, Ind.) – The Cincinnati Bengals are among those giving gifts to a World War II veteran for his birthday.
George Klopp is turning 100-years-old on Monday and a big community party was held yesterday.
Klopp served in the South Pacific during WWII and has been a Bengals season ticket holder since 1969.
During Sunday’s party, the Bengals season ticket account manager stopped by with several gifts.
Klopp was gifted an autographed Joe Burrow helmet and also a hand-written note from Bengals owner Mike Brown.
George and his family will celebrate his 100th birthday with a private party today.
The party yesterday featured everyone from a third grader to the only other living WWII veteran in Dearborn County.
