(COLUMBUS, Ind.) – A Columbus man is accused of battery, intimidation and pointing a firearm at a victim.

The victim had went to a house on Charwood Drive to repay an outstanding debt.

When the victim arrived, 25-year-old Colin Spaeth allegedly started a physical altercation that resulted in injuries to the victim’s head, back and torso.

Spaeth then instructed the victim to get into his vehicle while pointing a handgun at him, police said.

Bartholomew County deputies responded to the area and arrested Spaeth in an apartment building.

Spaeth remains in custody on bond and is charged with Intimidation with a Deadly Weapon, Pointing a Firearm, and Battery Causing Injury.
