(AURORA, Ind.) – Road construction will continue on U.S. 50 in Aurora for the foreseeable future.
Crews will begin Phase 2A of the project which will include pavement rehabilitation work between State Road 350 and Dutch Hollow Road.
It is expected to start on Monday and will involve traffic restrictions until late November:
All traffic will be shifted to the westbound lanes of U.S. 50 using temporary crossovers while eastbound construction is in progress.
U.S. 50 will be reduced to 35 mph and an 11-foot lane width reduction will be in effect.
“Additional traffic shifts will take place while overall work is in progress. INDOT will continue to provide information and updates as work progresses,” project officials said.
Overall work is expected to be complete in spring 2026 after previously being scheduled to end this November.
Paul H. Rohe is conducting the $8.7M project in conjunction with the Indiana Department of Transportation.
