(BRIGHT, Ind.) – Middle school athletes came together for a patriotic purpose in Bright on Thursday.
A cross country meet was held and the participating schools were St. Lawrence, East Central and Greendale Middle School.
Prior to the meet, the athletes held a large American flag during the National Anthem. There was also a gun salute and Taps that were played.
The 30x50 flag is owned by the Vietnam Veterans of America Larry D. Fogle Chapter 71 as well as the Southeast Indiana Honor Guard.
It was purchased by Brian ‘Biggin’ Noble and the Renegades who donated the flag to the two respective organizations.
