DCCF awards several local organizations with grants

Three different grant categories

(GREENSBURG, Ind.) – The Decatur County Community Foundation (DCCF) has announced their most recent grant recipients and projects. 


DCCF awarded 11 organizations with the Large Grant. Those provide anywhere from $2,000 to $20,000 to organizations seeking big needs in Decatur County. Here are the recipients:


Large Grants:

  • Ark of Decatur County... House Improvements

  • Bread of Life...Freezer Addition

  • Carousel Play & Learn...Dishwasher

  • Children's Advocacy Center...Tech Upgrade

  • Decatur County 4 Kids...Millhousen Ballfield Improvement

  • Decatur County Health Dept...Community Garden

  • Girls Inc...Half the Story

  • Greensburg Community Schools...Healthcare Simulation Lab

  • Greensburg High School...Radio Station Equipment

  • Heritage Bible Community Church...Playground Revamp

  • Life Time Resources...Matching Funds for Replacement Vehicle


Small Project Grants don’t exceed $2,000 and are awarded to organizations looking to implement small-scale projects. DCCF awarded a Small Grant to the Greensburg-Decatur County Public Library for a Glass Plate Negative Project.


DCCF also benefited three organizations through the Women’s & Children Fund. Those grants are designed to specifically address an issue facing women and children in Decatur County. Here are the recipients:


Women’s & Children’s Fund Grants

  • South Decatur Elementary …STEM Girls Night Out

  • Speranza House…Empowering Recovery Client Scholarship

  • A41…Generation Hope Middle School Expansion
