(GREENSBURG, Ind.) – Decatur County Memorial Hospital associates gave back to the community during the annual Decatur County United Fund Day of Caring.
The team members volunteered 24 hours at the Greensburg-Decatur County Animal Shelter, assisting with care projects that support the well-being of shelter pets awaiting their forever homes.
“At DCMH, our mission is rooted in caring for our patients, our neighbors, and even the four-legged friends who are part of our community,” said Jenny Simon, DCMH Chief Nursing Officer. “Day of Caring is a tradition that allows us to step outside the walls of the hospital and give back in meaningful ways.”
So far in 2025, DCMH employees have provided over 2,000 volunteer hours.
The Decatur County United Fund Day of Caring encourages organizations and even students to get involved by giving back.
