DCMH gives sports physicals, donates to athletic departments

(GREENSBURG, Ind.) – Decatur County Memorial Hospital is giving back to local athletic departments.

The hospital conducted 94 sports physicals last month and are distributing those funds totaling $1,880 back to Greensburg, North Decatur, South Decatur and St. Mary’s athletic departments.

The sports physical events provided students with a convenient opportunity to complete a required step for athletic participation while also benefiting their school.

These events were made possible through the volunteer efforts of DCMH providers and staff, committed to supporting the health and well-being of local students.

“The sports physical events are a wonderful example of how DCMH supports the health of our students and the strength of our community,” said Laura Walsman, Director of Practice Operations at DCMH. “Students receive an affordable, convenient sports physical, and the proceeds go right back into their school’s athletic programs.”

In addition to the providers who completed physicals, numerous DCMH team members volunteered their time to assist with registration, coordination, and event support, helping ensure a positive experience for students and families.
