DCMH welcomes physician with focus on cardiology, geriatric medicine

(GREENSBURG, Ind.) – Decatur County Memorial Hospital (DCMH) is welcoming Dr. Jeffrey Powell, an experienced physician who specializes in internal medicine with a focus on cardiology, geriatric medicine, and preventative care.

He will see patients at the Tree City Medical Partners location in Greensburg. 

Most recently working in Pennsylvania, Dr. Powell brings a wealth of clinical experience and a genuine passion for building lasting relationships with patients. 

During medical school, he completed a rotation in Indianapolis and found a strong connection with the people and the Midwestern approach to medicine, centered on trust, collaboration, and community.

“I’ve always appreciated how care in the Midwest is about relationships,” Dr. Powell shared. “You get to know your patients, their families, and the community. That connection allows you to provide care that’s not just effective, but meaningful.”

Dr. Powell is skilled in caring for complex and challenging cases, with a special interest in cardiology and geriatric care. His philosophy emphasizes preventative medicine, helping patients stay healthy through early intervention, education, and collaboration.

Having recently relocated nearby, Dr. Powell looks forward to becoming an active member of the Greensburg community. Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with family, kickboxing, snowboarding, and traveling.
