(LAWRENCEBURG, Ind.) – A Manchester woman is seeking donations as she continues a unique Christmas initiative.
Michelle Rudolph organizes ‘Rudolph’s Santa for Seniors’ as a way to bring Christmas to nursing home residents across the Tri-State.
She collects throw blankets and non-slip (fuzzy) socks and then gifts them to residents.
“I’ve worked at a couple different nursing homes and I will say that a lot of these residents don’t get visitors let alone gifts. And I will add that extra blankets, warm non-slip socks, and sweatpants are just a few of the things they need and love,” Verdon said.
Verdon has placed donation boxes at various places around Dearborn County, including Janet’s Diner, where you can drop off blankets or socks.
You can find a full list of donation locations by following the Santa for Seniors Facebook page here.
She also has a Venmo (@MichelleRudolph1112) where people can financially contribute to the gifts.
