Decatur County REMC makes improvements at South Decatur Elementary

(GREENSBURG, Ind.) - Decatur County REMC associates are giving back to the community. 

The employees recently participated in Community Day, which is a statewide initiative that encourages Indiana’s electric cooperatives to volunteer in their communities. 

Decatur County REMC associates volunteered at South Decatur Elementary where they painted dugouts, the concession stand and stained bridges and benches in the school’s outdoor lab.

Crystal Greathouse is REMC’s Member Services Manager and says this is an example of how they strive to provide more than electricity. 

“Our employees take great pride in serving beyond the lines, and this project was a meaningful way to give back to a place that supports so many,” Greathouse said.
