Dementia Friends information session in Greensburg on Tuesday

(GREENSBURG, Ind.) -- An information session will be held for those wanting to learn more about Dementia and how can they can help those suffering from it.
Thrive Alliance will host 'Dementia Friends' information session at the Greensburg Library from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. on Tuesday, October 28.
There is no cost to attend but attendees are urged to RSVP by emailing jferril@thrive-alliance.org or you can can also call (812) 372-6918.
"One in nine people over 65 years of age have dementia, and about one-half of people over 85 have some form of dementia, including Alzheimer's disease," said Jane Ferril with Thrive Alliance.
Thrive Alliance is working to make our region more Dementia friendly. This session is for anyone interested in getting involved.
