Deputies find meth during search warrant in Sunman

(SUNMAN, Ind.) – Ripley County deputies say they found methamphetamine during a search warrant in Sunman this weekend.
Ripley County Deputy Justin Batchelor received a call for service Saturday where he received a tip that there was a man with multiple felony warrants.
Police say they found probable cause to apply for a search warrant which was issued by Judge Jeffrey Sharp.
Deputies say they found methamphetamine, marijuana, and paraphernalia during the search.
Kenneth Powers III was arrested on drug-related charges as well as a warrant from Decatur County.
“This Sheriff’s Office remains steadfast in its ongoing mission to disrupt the distribution of illegal narcotics and prevent them from reaching our neighborhoods. Through proactive investigations, the execution of search warrants, and the collaboration with partnering agencies, deputies work diligently to identify those involved in the manufacture, possession, and distribution of illegal drugs,” said Sheriff Rob Bradley.
The Ripley County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by Sunman Police and the Indiana State Police.
