Driver hurt after single-vehicle crash near Friendship

(FRIENDSHIP, Ind.) – One person was hospitalized after a single-vehicle crash in the Friendship area on Friday.
The accident happened around 8:30 p.m. on County Road 950 South.
Friendship firefighters say the vehicle went off the right shoulder of the road before overcorrecting and striking a tree on the left side of the road.
“It then proceeded to veer off the roadway on the right side, down a steep bank and through the corner of a bean field coming to rest on the edge of the county road,” the fire department said.
The driver was rushed to the hospital for serious injuries that were determined to be non-life threatening.
Friendship Fire was assisted by Ripley County EMS and the Ripley County Sheriff’s Office.
