EC grad named top Hanover senior female athlete

(HANOVER, Ind.) – East Central grad Jessie Stenger has been selected as Hanover College’s best female senior athlete.

The Outstanding Women Senior Athlete of the Year award is voted on by Hanover head coaches and athletic administrators. 

“Stenger is arguably the most decorated student-athlete in Hanover College track and field history,” the college said. 

She is a two-time All-American, two-time Academic All-American and a five-time Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference Champion.

Jessie holds the conference outdoor shot put record, as well as the school record in both the indoor and outdoor shot put.

She recently qualified for the NCAA National Championship for the fourth time, ranking 24th in the shot put.

Stenger also played volleyball at Hanover where she was a received Second Team All-Conference honors.
