(CONNERSVILLE, Ind.) – A pickup truck that holds sentimental value to a family was stolen this weekend.
Jake Burch says a truck that belongs to his late father was stolen from his shop on Fifth Street in Connersville.
“The thief broke a back window to get inside, then loaded the truck with a Hobart welder, 8–10 Interstate batteries, and a battery charger before driving off,” Burch said.
Surveillance video shows that the truck went west and the family is deeply hoping that it is returned soon.
“This isn’t just any truck, it means a lot to my family. My dad bought it new and took incredible care of it for 30 years. We grew up riding in it, used it in parades, and took several family road trips in it,” Burch said.
Anyone with information is urged to contact Connersville Police at (765) 825-2111.
