Accomplished a math milestone!
(BRIGHT, Ind.) – A second grader at Bright Elementary is a rock star star in math class!
Carmela Lane recently achieved an incredible milestone where she mastered all of her addition and subtraction math facts!
“Reaching this goal took dedication and perseverance, but hard work is nothing new for Carmela. She gives her best effort every single day,” said her teacher, Mrs. Hannah Horner.
Beyond academics, Carmela shines as a role model in the classroom.
She consistently goes above and beyond in her tasks and assignments, consistently demonstrating kindness, respect, and a willingness to help her classmates. She can always be counted on to do the right thing, and she starts each day with a bright smile, ready to learn and lead.
Lane is being recognized for exemplifying Bright Elementary’s CORE values - Civility, Order, Respect, and Excellence.
“She is truly a joy to teach, and we are so proud of her accomplishments,” the school added.
