Serves as NICU nurse as well as local EMT

(BATESVILLE, Ind.) – A nurse and part-time EMT is being recognized through our FCN First Responder Spotlight!
Elizabeth Wesseler has served on Batesville Fire & Rescue as an EMT and volunteer firefighter for more than five years.
In April 2020, she and two other members of Batesville Fire were working a house fire when a Morris firefighter that was also on the scene went into cardiac arrest.
Elizabeth, along with firefighter Chris Baker and paramedic Ryan Everman, immediately began performing CPR and other life-saving measures.
Their quick actions allowed the Morris firefighter to regain a pulse and make a full recovery. Wesseler and the other two firefighters were recognized with the State Fire Marshal Lifesaving Award.
Nowadays, Elizabeth is a NICU nurse at Good Samaritan Hospital and continues to devote time to Batesville Fire & Rescue.
She and her husband, Brent, have two girls. When Elizabeth gets free time she is also a hair stylist and owns an online boutique called Addi & Ari Co, which is described as a shop for moms and babies.
