Firefighters extinguish home fire near Holton

(NEW MARION, Ind.) – Volunteer firefighters quickly extinguished a fire in  southern Ripley County on Thursday. 

The fire broke out around 2:30 p.m. at a home in the 3900 block of County Road 350 South near Holton. 

New Marion firefighters arrived and found the fire confined to a single room of the home. 

“The incident was brought under control shortly after arrival thanks to fast action by responding personnel,” the New Marion Fire Department said.

They were assisted on scene by Versailles Fire and Ripley County EMS.
