(BATESVILLE, Ind.) – The Decatur County Community Foundation has announced the five finalists for the Lilly Scholarship.
The finalists are Rori Phelps from South Decatur High School, and Mya Comer, Chloe Dick, Maddie Gould and Brenley Jameson from Greensburg Community High School.
They were chosen from 60 applicants and the competition included an application and essay, which were anonymous and judged on numbers only.
One of the finalists will receive the Lilly Scholarship which provides full tuition and a $900 annual book stipend for four years at any Indiana college or university.
The remaining four finalists will each receive a $5,000 scholarship from DCCF, which is being contributed by Lynda Smith in memory of her late husband, William O. (Bill) Smith.
Bill was an integral part in establishing the Lilly Endowment Community Scholarship programming in Decatur County.
The winning student will be announced in December.
