Five EC track & field athletes qualify for IHSAA state championship

Two found out Friday that they had qualified

(ST. LEON, Ind.) – There are five East Central Track & Field athletes who have qualified for the IHSAA state championship. 

Two of the athletes found out Friday that they qualified after receiving a callback. 

Will Kemper got a callback and will be competing next weekend in shot put and discus. 

Tyler Stenger had a personal record (PR) of 14’3” during the Pole Vault on Thursday night. He received a callback on Friday and found out he is also going to state. 

Trevor Perkins qualified for the 110 Hurdles on Thursday as well. 

Earlier this week, Callie Bentley and Rylee Edwards both qualified for the girl’s state tournament. Bentley will compete in the 800 Meters while Edwards qualified for Long Jump.
