Flood Watch goes into effect this afternoon

(SOUTHEAST INDIANA) – Heavy rain and storms will be moving through the area on Saturday with flooding possible, and snow forecasted for Sunday.
A Flood Watch has been issued for Dearborn and Ripley counties from Saturday afternoon until Sunday afternoon.
The storms could bring more than two inches of rain in some locations and with the recent melted snow, flooding is a concern along rivers, creeks, streams and other flood-prone areas.
Showers are expected to begin early Saturday with a mix of freezing rain possible. Rain is expected to last until Sunday morning.
A cold front will move through overnight Sunday and the rain will transition to snow after 9 a.m.
Forecasters say no more than 1 or 2 inches of snow is possible.
