Franklin County Recovery Group connecting with flood victims

(METAMORA, Ind.) — Were you impacted by the historic flooding in Franklin County in August?
The Franklin County Long-Term Recovery Group has been formed in an effort to connect impacted residents with the correct resources.
Those resources can include disaster case management, construction and rebuilding, volunteer coordination, nonfinancial donations, emotional and spiritual care, and other unmet needs.
“In the last three weeks, our volunteers have connected with 115 flood survivors through phone calls and in-person conversations,” the organization stated.
The organization is also reaching out to any flood victims who are registered through 211 to check on their recovery progress and identify remaining needs.
“We recognize many residents have already received assistance through FEMA, local organizations, churches, volunteers and other resources,” they said. “However, receiving some assistance does not necessarily mean recovery is complete.”
If you have not been contacted but want to connect with the Franklin County Long-Term Recovery Group, you can email fclongtermrecovery@gmail.com or call (317) 426-9829.
