Franklin County's Dancz Catz named Indiana champion after competition

Finished in first place in multiple competitions

(ST. LEON, Ind.) – Franklin County’s Dancz Catz team brought home another state championship on Saturday.
The Dancz Catz were crowned Indiana State Grand Champions after competing in multiple competitions at East Central High School.
They claimed the top prize in Jazz, Pom, Open and Hip Hop showcases.
Seniors Megan Fohl and Rianna Gegner also finished first in their duet and Gegner was first in the state in one of her solo events.
"Today was a bittersweet day for our girls! For our seniors, it was their last time performing together For the rest of the team, their last time performing for the season! While placements and trophies are fun, all that matters is our girl’s happiness," their coach said.
The program has had quite a bit of success over the past few years. They also won the Indiana competition in 2023 and competed at the national level last year.
Batesville were the champions of the Kick competition.
