(WEST HARRISON, Ind.) – A fundraiser has been launched for an East Central graduate ahead of a major surgery.
25-year-old Kyle Carson has a malignant mass on his neck that must be removed, according to the family.
“The lesion is compressing his jugular vein and causing severe narrowing. It has also displaced his carotid artery and trachea and is affecting his thyroid,” family members said.
The medical situation has forced Carson to miss work for the past several weeks. His sister-in-law has created a fundraiser to support him during this critical time.
“Donations will go toward medical expenses, including the upfront cost required before surgery, as well as everyday living costs, helping Kyle and his family stay focused on his treatment and recovery instead of worrying about bills,” the sister-in-law said.
