German manufacturer breaks ground on Greendale headquarters

(GREENDALE, Ind.) – A groundbreaking ceremony was recently held for a German-based company that is building its North American headquarters in Greendale.

BWF Envirotec, a global provider of all-in-one solutions for industrial filtration, announced their expansion to Greendale in 2025.

It marks a $9M investment into the city and will bring 60 jobs with an annual wage of $75,000.

The company will manufacture industrial filters when their Minger Drive facility opens in early 2027.

“We are very proud of what we’ve built here in Greendale. Our little city has become a major employment hub for Dearborn County and Southeast Indiana,” said Greendale Mayor Vincent Karsteter.

During the groundbreaking ceremony, the mayor also highlighted several partners that have contributed to the success of Greendale, such as corporations, utilities, nonprofits and schools.

“I am honored to welcome BWF Envirotec to our city. For the first time ever, we can say that Greendale will be home to the North American headquarters of an international company,” Karsteter said.

BWF was founded in 1892 and currently has 1,800 employees at 16 sites across four continents.
