(GREENDALE, Ind.) – A German-based industrial filtration company plans to locate its North American headquarters and manufacturing facility in Greendale.
BWF Envirotec reached an agreement with the Greendale Redevelopment Commission to bring 60 jobs with average annual wages and benefits of around $75,000 per year to the City.
The project will mark an approximately $9 million investment in the City, with BWF expecting to complete construction of a manufacturing facility on Minger Drive by February 2027.
“Greendale is committed to providing great economic opportunity for our citizens and BWF Envirotec will keep that momentum going. I look forward to seeing BWF join a great list of quality employers invested in Greendale’s future,” said Greendale Mayor Vince Karsteter.
Based on the company’s job creation plans, the Indiana Economic Development Corporation committed an investment in BWF of up to $300,000 in the form of incentive-based tax credits. These tax credits are performance-based, meaning the company is eligible to claim incentives once Hoosiers are hired and investments are made.
BWF was founded in 1892 and currently has 1,800 employees at 16 sites across four continents.
“BWF first established a presence in the Tri-State area in 1989, and this new facility marks the next chapter in our long-standing commitment to the people and communities of this region,” said David Cooper, President of BWF America.
The Greendale Redevelopment Commission led by City Councilman Mike McLaughlin helped to secure this major investment in the city.
“There is great German heritage in our city and region, which makes BWF’s location decision that much more exciting. With this partnership, the redevelopment commission and City look forward to exploring and strengthening economic ties between Greendale and Germany,” said McLaughlin.
