Greensburg 8U Softball team wins tournament, top-ranked team in Indiana

Had a big comeback victory

(GREENSBURG, Ind.) – A Greensburg-based 8U softball team had a big weekend in Center Grove.

The team is called the Indiana HUSTL 8U- Staggs and they competed in the 7th annual USSSA May Mayhem this weekend.

On Sunday, they made it to the championship game and were facing Miami County Blaze 8U which is the top-ranked team in Ohio.

The Greensburg girls were down four runs in the bottom of the last inning. They fought their way back to not only tie the game but to win in walk-off style!

Greensburg 8U is now the #1 ranked team in Indiana and also #2 nationally as of Monday morning, Head Coach Kevin Staggs said. 

The team is also coached by Arnold Thompson, Chad Culpepper, Macey Radcliff and Jennifer Harter.
