(GREENSBURG, Ind.) – A Greensburg native received a surprise that she will never forget this past weekend.
Judy (Marshall) Davis has served as an usher for the Indiana Fever for the past 23 years.
She was brought onto the court to be recognized during the team’s Inspiring Women Night on Saturday.
The PA announcer told the crowd that a special guest was bringing her a commemorative basketball.
That surprise guest turned out to be her son, Kyle Davis, who is a 25-year veteran of the Navy and serves as Command Master Chief of the Strike Fighter Wing Pacific in California.
Before Saturday, Judy and Kyle hadn’t seen each other for 7 years due to military deployments and other responsibilities.
The two embraced for several minutes at halfcourt and it was certainly a moment the mom and son will never forget.
Judy is a 1970 graduate of Greensburg High School and is often recognized for her guest reactions with Fever fans.
“Judy has been described by many guests as one of the main highlights of all the games they attend,” the PA announcer stated.
