(GREENSBURG, Ind.) – The community is invited to the Greensburg High School powderpuff game on Thursday night.
The juniors and seniors have come together to organize the event as a fundraiser.
Donations will be collected during the event for Greensburg Meals on Wheels, which is a nonprofit that delivers nutritious meals to elderly people and others in need.
Greensburg student Carmin Ripperger said Meals on Wheels was selected after the organization gave a presentation to the Jobs For America's class.
“We didn’t realize how little funding they get and how much they actually help the community, especially for the older generation by not only providing food but also wellness checks,” Ripperger said.
The game will take place at the high school field at 7 p.m. on Thursday, November 6.
