Greensburg teen to compete in prestigious dirt bike national championship

(GREENSBURG, Ind.) – A Greensburg teen has qualified for the Monster Energy AMA Amateur National Motocross Championship in Tennessee.
13-year-old Colt Whitaker will be the youngest racer in the Mini Sr. 1 class at the national championship but comes with plenty of experience, as he’s been riding dirt bikes since he was 3!
Whitaker secured a spot at the championship after finishing second in the 85CC and third in the Mini Sr. 1 at a regional championship in Conroe, Texas in May.
The Tennessee championship is regarded as the most prestigious race of the season. Each racing class is comprised of 42 of the best in the nation, with ages ranging from 4 to 60.
Whitaker will race as #34 in the 85CC and as #23 in the Mini Sr. 1. For those who would like to watch Colt race, you can do so my clicking this link.
