Greensburg woman wins Gold at USATF Masters Outdoor Championships

(HUNTSVILLE, Ala.) – A Greensburg woman had two major running accomplishments this past weekend!

70-year Debbie Haviland qualified for the USA Track & Field Masters Outdoor Nationals in Huntsville, Alabama. 

She first competed in the Women’s 5000M Run for ages 65-89 on Thursday. Haviland finished second overall in her age division! 

Debbie wasn’t finished as she then competed in the Women's 800M Run for her age bracket on Saturday. 

She finished first in the field and won Gold! 

Haviland started running competitively at the age of 62 in 2016. She’s become nationally-ranked after running many 5K’s and remains undefeated in her age group.
