(WASHINGTON, D.C.) – A local Army veteran from Guilford has returned from the Tri-State Honor Flight.
Larry Hoff was among the veterans who were given a free trip to Washington, D.C. on Thursday.
The day began with a flight from Cincinnati and then the group visited the Iwo Jima Memorial, Air Force Memorial, Arlington National Cemetery, World War II Memorial, Korean War Memorial, Lincoln Memorial and the Vietnam Wall.
Hoff returned home to a special Homecoming Ceremony at CVG Airport.
Among those who welcomed the veterans back was 13-year-old Tessa Ziegler and her 8-year-old sister, Raya.
The two sisters from Harrison have raised more than $30,000 to provide free Honor Flight trips for veterans.
