Heavy rains led to road, creek flooding Wednesday

UPDATE (11 P.M. WEDNESDAY)
The flooding has mostly receded around Franklin County but some roads still remain closed.
Levee Road at 9 p.m. and some other roads that have been impassable as of Wednesday included Duck Creek, Wolf Creek, Stipps Hill Road, Chapel Road and McQueen Road.

(GREENSBURG, Ind.) – Be aware of flooding on roadways due to the heavy rains on Wednesday.
A Flood Advisory is in effect until 6:45 p.m. as forecasters say 1 to 2 inches of rainfall are possible.
There have been several reports of low-lying roadways in Franklin County being flooded as of Wednesday afternoon.
Meanwhile, Decatur County EMA Director Michael Snyder is also warning the public.
"County Highway has reported several roadways in the northern portion of Decatur County have water running over the roads. If traveling on any roadways please use caution and do not drive through the highwater," Snyder said.

A Flood Watch is also in effect until 2 a.m. Thursday.
Forecasters added, “Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.”
