“This girl is a prodigy!"

(VERSAILLES, Ind.) – A local seventh grader rewrote Indiana bowling history, if not nationally.
Ava Jolee Hackman bowled a score of 302 on Saturday which is believed to be the highest score in Indiana bowling history.
It happened at Pollards Bowl in Versailles and the business said they are planning to formally recognize her in the coming weeks.
“This is such an incredible feat that we can’t believe we not only witnessed firsthand, but also hosted here. This young girl has just accomplished something no other bowler has ever done,” said owner Bill Pollard.
He added that Hackman will receive a lifetime voucher for free bowling at the business. It’s unclear how much she will plan to use it.
“I haven’t bowled that much, but it was something fun to do today. It’s been pretty cool and I am sure I will come back sometime,” she said.
The Indiana Bowling Hall of Fame has also posted on Facebook that they plan to recognize Hackman as well.
“This girl is a prodigy. The sport of bowling has never seen anything like this. She will likely receive numerous full-ride scholarship opportunities and we are proud this occurred in the Hoosier State,” the organization stated.
Hackman also recently competed in the Indiana Festivals State Pageant and represented Decatur County.
