(LAWRENCEBURG, Ind.) – A Lawrenceburg High School freshman who was seriously hurt in a golf cart accident remains hospitalized in Cincinnati.
Kate Buescher has been in the hospital since the accident in Hidden Valley on March 9.
Her family says Kate has a significant surgery that is scheduled for this week.
“This is a vital step in her journey toward rehabilitation and recovery. Our PT and OT teams have already begun working with her, and we are thrilled to share that she has shown some slight, promising movements,” her family said.

The family is also thanking the community for the outpouring of support they’ve received since the accident.
“We are so incredibly grateful for every well-wish, gift card, handwritten note, and prayer that continues to come in,” they said.
