Cards feature biography, hobbies and a quote from the officer

(MARION, Ind.) – Remember the popularity of baseball cards or even Pokemon cards?
A police department in northern Indiana is taking a similar approach as a way to better connect with the community.
The Marion Police Department has personalized trading cards for every one of their officers, along with their K-9, SWAT team and other members of the department.
The goal is to personalize and humanize the police officers to kids as well as grownups.
The backside of the card features a biography, their police service history, hobbies and a quote from the officer.
Each officer has 1,000 of their own cards to pass out when they're out in the community.
